Collinsville Trade Day
- Come to historic town of
Collinsville and experience the largest outdoor markets in the south.
We have more than you could possibly see on a Saturday, so plan to come
back again and again. When you get here you will find all kinds of
antiques, collectibles, children's toys and clothes, work clothes and
boots, fishing gear, fresh fruits and vegetables, furniture, tools and

DeKalb County State Public Fishing Lake -
This 120-acre state lake offers some of the finest fishing in NE
Alabama. Bass fishing, bluegill and redear sunfish, catfish, and crappie
make fishing DeKalb Lake fun all four seasons. There is a playground and
picnic area, country store and campground. The lake is open 7 days a
week from sun-up to sun-down and is located on Sand Mountain at 720 County

Down on the Farm
- There is fun for the whole family on this farm in Rainsville.
You can pick your own pumpkin from a pumpkin patch, enjoy hay rides and hay jumps,
two corn mazes, a gift shop and a traditional southern style restaurant. Our
newest feature is a Scarecrow stuffing Barn where
you can "Build your own Scarecrow". Open September 1 - October 31.

Fort Payne Depot Museum - This beautiful pink sandstone Richardson Romanesque
architecture 1891 depot was operated b y the Alabama Great Southern
Railroad. It served as a train station until 1970. It now houses railroad memorabilia, Dioramas handcrafted back in 1913, Indian
Artifacts, local history and more! Located on 105 5th Street North, in downtown
Fort Payne, Alabama 35967. Hours of operation are Mon., Wed., & Fri. 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
and Sunday 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. For general information and group tours

Fort Payne City Park -
Located in downtown Fort Payne on the corner of 5th and Gault Avenue North, across from the Depot
Museum. The park provides the perfect setting for picnics and family reunions. It holds a
wealth of history, from historic markers flanking the outskirts of the park to the century
old Ginko trees that fill the park with a cool shade in the summer and an amber glow of

Fort Payne Motor Speedway – Let’s Go
Racing!!!
Come enjoy a family night out with racing on Saturday
Nights beginning at 5 p.m. Fort Payne Motor Speedway is
a part of the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series,
which includes tracks in multiple states. Drivers at
each track compete for regional points. At the end of
the season, the top six drivers at each track and the
top six in each region will be invited to the Fall

High Falls Park - Stroll

Landmarks Opera House - This
structure was built in 1889 by W.O. Rice and was known as the "handsomest
opera house in the state." Having been restored by a
group called Landmarks, productions are once again
brought to the stage. It is the oldest opera house in
the state still in use today. Located downtown Fort

Little River Canyon Center
- This center is a Jacksonville State University
facility operated in partnership with the National Park
Service. Located on Hwy 35 and adjacent to the
Little River Canyon National Preserve, it serves
multiple functions as a center for outdoor
interpretation, architectural sustainability, cultural
demonstration and it serves as an administrative center
for its related agencies. Visitors may experience
an array of Field School activities including wildlife
watching, hikes, and other family oriented programs.
The Canyon Center includes public restrooms, walking
trails, exhibits, a gift shop, a library, an auditorium
and meeting rooms which may be rented by the half or

Little River Canyon National Preserve - Enjoy scenic vistas and waterfalls along the
beautiful Little River Canyon National Preserve. Bring lots of film, you will want to
capture the beauty of this area forever. Follow a 23-mile drive along the canyon's rim for
spectacular vistas into the 700-foot deep gorge. Visit Little River Falls off

Sequoyah Caverns
- The property is
nestled in Wills Valley surrounded by rolling hills and pastureland. Fallow deer
and peacock roam the pastures, with the cave extending into the base of Sand Mountain.
Known for it's reflecting pools, this cave is named for the Cherokee Indian Chief
Sequoyah. Guided tours of the cave are available with special group rates.
